Chris Gill
Chris Gill our principal consultant is a successful Chartered Management Consultancy Surveyor with extensive public and private sector experience acting as a Senior Advisor to Boards, Senior Leadership and their teams. Key achievements include the groundbreaking Buildings for Business Public Private Partnership and establishing NewcastleGateshead CDC as a private sector led company with a high powered Chair Board and Chief Executive with the ability to operate in partnership with public sector shareholders within a framework of governance focused on delivery and results. Chris graduated from Sheffield City Polytechnic in 1983 with a degree in Urban Land Economics and in 2003 gained an MBA from Teesside University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has been a member since 1984. He is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. He has completed the Interpersonal Relationships in Organisations Programme at Roffey Park Management Institute. Chris spent his early career in manufacturing and retail with The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Ltd where he was responsible for all group operational and investment properties. He has worked in consulting and investment agency and in the public sector since 1990 in a variety of delivery and strategic roles including Local Government, English Partnerships and One NorthEast. Effective operating at Chief Officer and Board level notable successes include the development and delivery of the groundbreaking Buildings for Business Public Private Partnership and establishing NewcastleGateshead CDC as a private sector led company with a high powered Chair Board and Chief Executive with the ability to operate in partnership with public sector shareholders within a framework of governance focused on delivery and results. Since setting up J C Gill and Co Ltd in 2008 Chris has worked on a number of major public sector assignments and advised a range of private and voluntary sector clients on a range of issues relating to their bidding and partnerships with public bodies. He has worked as a consultant and interim manager with local authorities on value for money and service reviews, transformation programmes, strategy development, project and programme delivery, asset optimisation and procurement projects. He has also provided advice and support to Local Enterprise Partnerships and Combined Authorities. Chris has over 25 years experience in transforming the delivery of public services, public private partnerships, complex procurement projects, asset management, planning and development, economic development and regeneration, programme and project management and corporate policy and strategy. With a highly flexible and engaging approach he has developed a successful track record helping public and private sector clients achieve improvements in their effectiveness and efficiency by applying his business skills and property knowledge to optimise asset efficiency and transform service delivery. Valued as a skilled negotiator with a people focus and an ability to empathise he is politically astute and trustworthy with strong personal and professional ethics. Recognised as an innovator with bags of common sense Chris does not always take a conventional approach in driving change, improving outcomes and delivering complex projects and programmes in challenging political and multi agency environments. Currently advising clients within the Local Government Enterprise Partnerships Combined Authority and not for profit sectors Chris is acknowledged for his ability to deliver tangible results and inspire and motivate professional teams during periods of transformational change. Chris is also a co-founder and director of ARC Resolve Ltd a new consultancy based in York alongside co-directors who also have an outstanding track record for getting things done in challenging multi-agency environments. |
Julie Gill
Julie Gill makes sure that our business works effectively and efficiently and on a day to day basis is responsible for administration, budgets, financial forecasts and management reports. She is responsible for the smooth running of the office and to ensure that we deliver an excellent service to all our Clients which is paramount. Julie is a qualified accounting technician and among many other things prepares our VAT returns, profit and loss, PAYE, bank reconciliations and Budget planning /reporting. She is also a qualified and highly regarded textile designer with an outstanding track record designing best-selling high quality knitwear, handknitting, crochet and embroidery designs. She is proudest of her work designing a best seller for a major retailer and with Tracey Whittington developing the Coats Millennium Sampler to mark the New Millennium, which featured designs to stitch with Anchor embroidery threads and inspired by the previous thousand years of stitching. |
